I have been jamming on piano since I was a kid listening to my mother play classical music. Early classical piano lessons and my mother's playing remain an influence to this day. Throughout my teen years, I continued to experiment with improvisation of classical riffs learned from structured compositions. During college, I took several music theory classes, followed by jazz piano lessons after graduation.

My love for music and a career as a professional designer started to blend after college. I created original music and sounds for Kodak's digital cameras, kiosks, and Epcot Center. After Kodak, I started 2 Octave, a start up company focused on sound design for consumer electronics and digital experiences. Some of my notable clients included Whirlpool, Microsoft, and Medela. During a long tenure with GE as an experience designer, I designed sounds for an ocean vessel positioning system as well as for devices in intensive care units at hospitals. These days I lead a design team at Workday in the Bay Area.

It was only recently though that I decided to start to record and share my music. My first recording, Tiny Telephone Sessions, is a compilation of compositions and improvisations I have been playing in recent years. The style of playing varies from start to finish, featuring explorations in a neo-classical style, New Orleans jazz, as well as blues and r&b.

If you like what you hear, let me know! If vinyl is your thing, pick up Tiny Telephone Sessions on vinyl in my shop for $5 shipped in the US!

There is a lot more music coming that I look forward to sharing.
